HOMEWORK FROM SESSION 4 (OPTIONAL!)

Read Acts 19 and Eph 6: 10-end.  Can you identify how Paul’s experience in Ephesus and his knowledge of the situations the Christians there faced inspire him to write Eph 6:10-end.    Where can you find references to the armour of God and armies of in the Old Testament? How do they relate to Paul’s understanding? How can you relate all this to your daily life?

AND/OR

The history of God’s people always point to the Messiah.   Pick one of the following characters

  • Joseph (Gen Ch 37 to 50 – or excerpts from them)

  • Job (chapters 1 & 2)

  • Esther (book of Esther)

  • Melchizedek (use the internet to find the references! Clue: He is mentioned in Genesis, Psalms & Hebrews)

…and see if you can find 3 ways in which they remind you of Jesus.
