young families

At The Well we love welcoming all people including young families and children of all ages. Our hope is to build a community that connects parents and carers, as well as to create an environment for our children to learn and grow as a child of God whilst having lots of fun and making friends. We want to see children and families at The Well flourishing in their relationship with Jesus, growing in their understanding of Him and learning to share His love with their friends and communities.

sunday gatherings

The 10am morning gathering starts with worship for all ages. We engage all ages in worship with the use of shakers and flags. We also have a designated area in the main sanctuary where little ones can crawl and play during the worship and the service. Parents and carers can stay for the duration in the main service with their babies and 1 year olds in this area.

We have an amazing team of volunteers (all DBS checked) who are dedicated to investing in our children’s spiritual lives, which even includes the very little ones. We’ll have time in our groups to have fun, get to know each other better and get to know God better. All groups also enjoy snack time together too.

We welcome children and young people with additional needs, please email if you have any questions about coming along on a Sunday. Safeguarding is vital, so our volunteers are trained to follow our policy which is reviewed annually.

We have different groups for children at The Well:

Registration for Kids is open from 9:30am to 10:15am.

  • Pre-School age and under - Lower Hall - Parents can also stay in this group. Activities include: play and games, a bible story, craft activity, singing and lots of fun.

  • Reception to Y6 - Upper Hall

  • Y7-9 - Meet in the mornings

Midweek groups

We love to celebrate and reach out to our community and have gatherings and outreach opportunities suitable for all the family to get involved. The Well also has many community groups and we currently have a gathering aimed at families with young children.

Little Droplets is our toddler group at The Well, term-time Wednesday mornings 10am-11.30am. The group aims to be a relaxed and welcoming place for parents and carers to meet and get to know one another, and for children to play and have lots of fun in a safe environment. All parents and carers are welcome, whether you attend on a Sunday or not. Each week there will be a time for children to play, do craft and sing songs. Refreshments are provided as well as plenty of tea, coffee. Email louise.rainford@wellsheffield.com for more details or contact her using the form below.
