All in Identity

All Hands on Deck!

Isobel Allum spoke powerfully to The Well Sheffield. Will we be caught by rivalry and competition, will we act as consumers of Christianity, or will we respond to God’s call of “All Hands on Deck”? The parable of the talents (Matt 25:14-30) means if we are faithful with a little of God’s priorities, not ours, then we be trusted to receive more from God.

Adoption and sonship (three chairs)

There are 2 ways of going about the family business as Christians – as a ‘worker’ (what Jesus called a ‘hired hand’ & the apostle Paul called a ‘slave’) – or as a son. Our identity as Christians means we are adopted into the family of God, and we can live as sons and daughters of the King. Using 3 Chairs, Nick talks us through the different attitudes and behaviour between living as a salve, and living as a son/daughter.
